This policy explains what data Ferrowright's internal Social Automations app accesses from YouTube, Google, Facebook, and Instagram, why, where it is kept, and how an account owner can revoke access or ask for deletion.
01Who we are and what this covers
Social Automations (the “App”) is an internal tool operated by Ferrowright Engineering (“Ferrowright”, “we”, “us”), an MSME (Udyam) registered business (UDYAM-RJ-28-0060965) in India. It is used only by Ferrowright staff to publish and measure content on YouTube channels, Facebook Pages, and Instagram accounts that Ferrowright owns or is authorised to manage. It is not offered to the public.
This policy covers data the App accesses through Google and Meta APIs. Our website and client work are covered by our main Privacy Policy.
02YouTube API Services
The App uses the YouTube API Services. By using the App with a YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
03Data the App accesses
Only for the accounts whose owner has signed in and granted access:
- YouTube / Google: channel name, ID, and public statistics; the list of uploaded videos and their titles, descriptions, tags, and statistics; YouTube Analytics reports for our own videos (views, watch time, audience retention, subscribers gained, aggregated traffic sources and countries); comments on our own videos, including the commenter's public display name; and, when we publish, the videos, titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails we upload.
- Facebook and Instagram (Meta): the Page and Instagram account name and ID, follower counts, insights for our own posts and reels (views, reach, watch time, likes, shares, saves), comments on our own posts, and the videos and captions we publish.
- Access tokens issued by Google and Meta after sign-in, used only to make the requests above.
The App does not access private messages, contacts, payment details, or any account the owner has not authorised. It reports audience data only in aggregate (for example, views by country).
04How we use it
- to publish and schedule our own content and keep its titles, descriptions, and tags up to date;
- to measure how our content performs and decide what to make next;
- to read comments on our content so a person can reply; replies to viewers are written or approved by a person before posting.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, build profiles of viewers, or use it to train AI or machine learning models.
05Google API data: Limited Use
The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
06Where it is stored and who sees it
Reports and access tokens are stored on Ferrowright-controlled computers, in files readable only by the operating account. Tokens are never published, shared, or written into reports.
We share this data only with:
- Google and Meta, as the platforms the App talks to;
- an AI assistant provider (Anthropic), which we use to help analyse performance reports and draft replies; it receives report contents only to perform that work for us;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
07How long we keep it
Performance reports are kept while we track the content they describe, so we can compare results over time. Comment text is kept with those reports and removed on request. Access tokens are kept until access is revoked or the App stops being used, and are then deleted.
08Revoking access and deleting data
An account owner can remove the App's access at any time:
- Google / YouTube: Google security settings → Third-party apps with account access;
- Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings → Business integrations, and Instagram Settings → Apps and websites.
To have stored data deleted, including a comment you wrote on our content, email contact@ferrowright.com. We delete it within 30 days.
